This incredible adventure takes you through some of Croatia’s most stunning islands, national parks, and nature reserves. You’ll hike along the breathtaking Dinaric Alps, which stretch from north to south and feature extraordinary natural wonders such as Biokovo Nature Park and the Kozjak mountain ridge overlooking the UNESCO-listed city of Trogir. Discover the scenic Pelješac Peninsula, renowned for its exceptional red wines, and explore the picturesque islands of Korčula, Brač, and Mljet. The journey culminates with a visit to the breathtaking Mljet National Park and a tour of the UNESCO-listed city of Dubrovnik. Immerse yourself in Croatia’s spectacular landscapes while uncovering its rich history and the architectural charm of Dalmatia’s enchanting cities and islands.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival

Transfer from Split airport to hotel in Trogir.

Day 2 - Kozjak and Marjan hike

The morning walk takes us to Kozjak mountain above Trogir, where we arrive after a short transfer of approx. 25 minutes. From the trail we have a unique view of the city of Trogir and the city of Split. During the walk along the ridge of the Kozjak mountain, we will enjoy Mediterranean smells and panoramic views along the entire path that leads us to the chapel of St. Ivan. In the afternoon, there will be a visit of the old city center of Split, a walk in Diocletian’s Palace, an ancient building that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After the historical tour of the palace, the guests, if they wish, can stay in the old town for further visit or they can continue with the guide for a walk in the Marjan Forest Park, the so-called lungs of the city of Split, and a tour of the old mysterious churches. Evening transfer about 1h20 to accommodation near Makarska.

Day 3 - Brač island

The island of Brač is the third largest island of the Adriatic Sea and it is also home to the highest peak of the Croatian islands, the peak of Vidova Gora at 780m above sea level, which we will climb and enjoy the views of Split and the magnificent mountain range on one side and the islands of Hvar and Korčula on the other side. In addition to its natural beauty, hidden coves and wonderful beaches, Brač is known for its olive groves, vineyards and valuable Brač stone. After the morning ferry ride and a short transfer, the hiking trail leads us first up to Vidova gora peak and then it continues through shady and pleasant forest parts of the ridge back to the Gažul mountain hut. A picnic at the top with views of the nearby islands, the sea and green nature around will delight everyone.  After the hike, we return again by ferry to the mainland and to the accommodation.

Day 4 - Biokovo Nature Park

Biokovo Nature Park is a mountain whose roots plunge into the sea and whose summit reaches for the sky. Its highest peak is Sveti Jure at 1,762 metres. More than 400 chasms and caves have been discovered in this massif, many of them permanently filled with snow and ice. An early-morning transfer takes us to the starting point of our hike. The trail takes us to various panoramic viewpoints overlooking the town of Makarska and the expanse of the sea. Picnic lunch on the way. In the late afternoon, transfer to the island of Korčula and check-in at hotel for 3 nights.

Day 5 - Korčula island

The hike takes us in the first part through the picturesque landscape of Korčula villages and olive groves. We pass through the village of Žrnovo and Postrana, discovering the architecture and customs of the former inhabitants of this region. The path leads us from one side of the island to the ridge towards the other side of the island, from which we have a unique view of the open Adriatic Sea, the Nature Park of Lastovo Archipelago, and the island of Mljet. Lunch is provided at OPG Šimunovo, a family-owned agricultural restaurant with delicious traditional dishes, superb natural ambience and panoramic views. After lunch, there is a break for swimming in Pavja Luka, a hidden and peaceful cove. On our way back to Postrana, we take an educational botanical trail through a Mediterranean forest that enchants us with its scents.

Day 6 - Mljet National Park

Morning catamaran ride of approx. 30 minutes to the island of Mljet. We start the walk in the port of Pomena and in approx. 15 minutes we arrive to the heart of the Mljet National Park. The park owes its attractiveness to bays submerged by the sea, the Small and the Big Lake, which represent an important geomorphological and oceanographic phenomenon. The park is rich in flora and cultural heritage thanks to numerous archaeological sites and old island settlements such as the village of Goveđari, which we will pass through. The hiking trail leads past beautiful bays suitable for swimming and also climbs to the peaks of Montokuc and Veliki Gradac, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the entire national park, the Pelješac peninsula and the Adriatic Sea. A visit to Mljet National Park is a special experience at any time of the year, as it offers a unique experience of green untouched nature, mysterious places and magical peaks in a Mediterranean atmosphere. After the hiking tour, we return by catamaran to the island of Korčula.

Day 7 - Pelješac peninsula

The morning walk starts from Orebić, the largest place on the Pelješac peninsula, and leads us through olive groves, forest paths and various hamlets to the monastery of Our Lady of Angels, a Franciscan monastery from the 16th century, which offers a unique view of the town of Korčula and its surroundings. In history, when sailors passed under the monastery, they would traditionally salute with the sound of a siren three times, and the Franciscans would respond by ringing the church bells. Pelješac peninsula is known for its viticulture and the cultivation of the highest quality Croatian grape varieties that compete with foreign premium wines. On the way to Dubrovnik, we will stop for a wine tasting at one of the most famous winegrowers in this region. In the afternoon we arrive in Dubrovnik for 1 night, free visit of Dubrovnik Old Town and free dinner.

Day 8 - Departure

Departure transfers to the airport.

Accommodation facilities can be adjusted to include apartments, campsites, hostels, resorts, lodges and eco hotels. Different types of accommodation can be combined on each tour. Accommodation can be upgraded to 5* hotels.

Guide

English speaking licensed tourist and mountain guide who takes care of the group during the whole duration of the trip. The type of the tour determines the number of guides. It is possible to also have a licensed tourist guide for city tours.

Depending on the group, we can organize German, Italian, or French speaking guide.

Meals

Breakfasts and dinners are served in accommodation facilities or in restaurants. Lunch is served in the form of a picnic. On days 3 and 7, dinner is not included. The program can be adjusted to include B&B service, full board service or packed lunch.

According to your habits, we recommend you to provide some chewable energy during walking (bars of cereals, dry fruit…).
