This hiking tour lasts 12 days and takes you through the most beautiful parts of Croatia, where you’ll explore its rich history, culture, and nature. The journey begins in Zagreb, where you’ll explore the city’s history before heading to Plitvice Lakes National Park, where you’ll walk along paths with spectacular waterfalls and lakes. The following days bring hiking through Paklenica National Park and Zadar, where you’ll dive into the history of the Romans, and then through Trogir, known for its medieval architecture.
The tour continues along the Adriatic coast, where you’ll visit islands and cities such as Korčula and Dubrovnik. Each day offers a new experience, whether it’s a easy hike, enjoying the tranquility of nature, or getting to know local customs and traditions. Accommodation is provided in comfortable facilities, and you’ll enjoy delicious traditional meals. The entire journey offers the perfect balance between physical activities and relaxation, allowing you to unwind, connect with nature, and experience the true essence of Croatia.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival
Transfer from Zagreb airport to Hotel Garden Hill in Velika Gorica.
Day 2 - City Tour Zagreb (with tourist guide)
Transfers: Velika Gorica – Zagreb center 30 min. / center Zagreb – Big House Plitvice 2h30/

The city of Zagreb is the capital of the Republic of Croatia, located at the foot of the Medvednica mountain massif and the Sava river. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Croatia, which offers numerous tourist attractions and interesting contents. You will get to know the history and interesting things of this city accompanied by a tourist guide, who will take you for a walk through the charming streets of Zagreb’s Upper and Lower Town, enjoying the continental architecture of the Austro-Hungarian-influenced buildings. After the guided tour through the city, there will be free time and free lunch before departure to Plitvice for 1 night.
Day 3 - NP Plitvice

A day to visit part of the UNESCO natural heritage, Plitvice Lakes National Park, the oldest and largest national park in Croatia. lt has been a part of the UNESCO world heritage of protected natural and cultural sites for almost 40 years. lt is known for its 16 beautiful interconnected lakes of crystal blue-green color, whose creation is due to the constant formation of travertine barriers. These lakes represent the basic phenomenon and beauty of this national park. The water of the Plitvice Lakes is premium drinking water. You will experience natural beauty by walking along forest paths, wooden bridges, riding an electric boat and a panoramic vehicle.
Day 4 - NP Paklenica

Trail from entrance NP over educational trail Pjeskarica to Klanci and back: walking time 1h45 / length 4,3km / altitude 200m
On this hiking tour, you’ll explore the beauty of Paklenica National Park. The tour begins in Starigrad Paklenica, and from there we head to the main entrance of NP Velika Paklenica. The trail from the entrance of the park, passing through the educational Pjeskarica trail to Klanci, offers a peaceful environment and stunning natural scenery. We’ll take breaks along the way and enjoy coffee at Klanci. After the hike, we’ll return to Starigrad Paklenica for a free lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying local attractions. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 5 - City Tour Zadar and Nin
Transfer duration: Starigrad Paklenica – Nin 50min. / Nin – Zadar 30min. / Zadar – Trogir 1h30

The day is meant for the free visit of two special towns on the Adriatic coast, Zadar and Nin, both with a long history dating back to ancient times. Zadar is known for its medieval walls, the Church of St. Donat from the 9th century built on the remains of a Roman forum and the Zadar Cathedral. Apart its multiple architectural styles, Zadar delights every visitor with the mysterious music of the Sea Organ, whose concert will give you a special musical atmosphere with a fantastic view of the Zadar channel and the surrounding islands. Last but not least, the Greeting of the Sun installation is another special effect attraction not to be missed, producing an extremely impressive play of light in the rhythm of the waves and the sound of the Sea Organ.
Nin is a small town about 15km northwest of Zadar whose ancient centre is located on an islet connected to the mainland by two bridges. With the immigration of Croats to this area at the beginning of the 7th century, Nin became their political, cultural and religious centre and today has the statute of the first Croatian royal city. Free lunch in Zadar. Transfer to Trogir for 2 nights.
Day 6 - NP Krka Skradinski buk, City Tour Šibenik

Early morning transfer to Krka National Park (60 min). In the morning we will enter the national park by boat and visit the magnificent waterfall Skradinski buk, the last waterfall in a series of 7 travertine waterfalls of the Krka River and at the same time the most impressive waterfall, made up of a dozen smaller waterfalls. After a picnic in Skradin town, we head for the city of Šibenik, an ancient town listed on the UNESCO list of World Heritage for its impressive Cathedral of St. James. After free visit of Šibenik old town transfer back to Trogir (1 hour) and dinner at the hotel.
Day 7 - City Tour Trogir and Split (with tourist guide)
Transfer duration: Trogir – Split 40min. / Split – Orebić 3h / Korčula – Pansion Hajduk 10min.

After a free visit of Trogir Old Town, transfer to Split for a guided tour through the Palace of Diocletian, part of UNESCO world heritage. The Diocletian Palace is one of the best preserved pieces of Roman architucture representing both a luxury villa and a Roman military camp. Over the centuries, the palace was adapted by its inhabitants and today it shows a mixture of Roman, Byzantine, Venetian and more contemporary styles with ornaments from Ancient Egypt. The Imperial Palace fascinates its visitors as it is an open museum and if you are attentive enough, you will hear the Emperor’s voice greeting his people. After the guided tour, free time and free lunch in Split. Transfer to Korčula for 3 nights. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 8 - Island Koručula
Transfer duration: town of Korčula – Podstrana 20min. / Podstrana – Pansion Hajduk 15 min.

The island of Korčula with the town of Korčula is one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic. A morning walk through the town of Korčula will reveal the rich history of that city, which counts among its most famous sights the house of Marco Polo, a Venetian writer, traveler, merchant and explorer from the 13th century who, according to historical sources, stayed on Korčula for a short time. After the tour of the city, there is a short transfer to the village of Podstrana, from where the hiking tour begins through wonderful olive groves, meadows and orchards to the family-owned agricultural business OPG Šimunovo, which awaits its guests with authentic dishes and top-quality delicacies from its own production in a very pleasant and imaginatively decorated environment with a view of the island Mljet and Lastovo. After lunch, we continue our walk to Pavja luka beach for a break for swimming and rest in a quiet hidden harbor. The circular path continues on the educational botanical trail back to the starting point. Short transfer back to the hotel and dinner.
Day 9 - NP Mljet
Schedule of Krilo passenger boat: Departure Korčula 10h – Pomena 10h30 / Departure Pomena 17h20/17h30 – Korčula 18h.
Transfer duration: Pomena 30min. / Pomena – Korčula 30min. Day of rest for the minibus driver.
Trail NP Mljet: from Pomena over the tops of Veliki Gradec and Montokuc: walking time 4h / length 12km / altitude 370m
Morning transfer by passenger boat of approx. 30 minutes to the island of Mljet. We start the walk in the port of Pomena and in approx. 15 minutes we arrive to the heart of the Mljet National Park. The park owes its attractiveness to bays submerged by the sea, the Small and the Big Lake, which represent an important geomorphological and oceanographic phenomenon. The park is rich in flora and cultural heritage thanks to numerous archaeological sites and old island settlements such as the Goveđari village, which we will pass through. The hiking trail leads past beautiful bays suitable for swimming and also climbs to the peaks of Montokuc and Veliki Gradac, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the entire national park, the Pelješac peninsula and the Adriatic Sea. A visit to Mljet National Park is a special experience at any time of the year, as it offers a unique experience of green untouched nature, mysterious places and magical peaks in a Mediterranean atmosphere. After the hike, we return by passenger boat to the island of Korčula.
Day 10 - Island Pelješac and the town of Ston
Transfer duration: pansion Hajduk – ferry port Dominče 10min. / ferry Dominče – Orebić 20min. / Orebić – Ston 1h / Ston – Dubrovnik 1h

After the morning transfer by ferry boat and on the way to Dubrovnik via the Pelješac peninsula, famous for its viticulture and world-famous premium wines, we will stop for a free visit of the town Ston. In addition to growing oysters, the town of Ston is also known for the Ston Walls and the saltworks. An oyster tasting and visit of the Ston walls is optional and at the charge of the guest. In the early afternoon we arrive in Dubrovnik for 2 nights and a free visit of the old town.
Day 11 - City Tour Dubrovnik (with tourist guide)
Transfer duration: short transfer from the hotel to the entrance of Dubrovnik Old Town / possibility of using public transport to the old town

Dubrovnik Old Town, also known as the Adriatic Pearl, is Croatia’s most attractive destination and also part of the UNESCO World Heritage. It is a destination not to miss and should be on everyone’s bucketlist. In the morning, you will discover the most important sightseeings of the town in company of a professional tourist guide. The rest of the day will be free time for further visit and free lunch. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 12 - Departure
Departure from Dubrovnik airport.

English speaking licensed tourist and mountain guide who takes care of the group during the whole duration of the trip. The type of the tour determines the number of guides. It is possible to also have a licensed tourist guide for city tours.
Depending on the group, we can organize German, Italian, or French speaking guide.
Meals
Breakfast and dinner are served at the accommodation facilities or restaurants.
Lunch is served in the form of a picnic during the excursions.
According to your habits, we recommend you to provide some chewable energy during walking (bars of cereals, dry fruit…).
