Activity description
The activity begins at Ručica beach near Metajna village. The landscape of the starting place forms an introduction to the unity of peaceful paddle strokes and adrenaline-filled via ferrata climb. The guide introduces the participants to the itinerary and explains the techniques used for kayaking and via ferrata climbing, and provides them with the necessary equipment. The tour departs in kayaks towards Beriknica beach, where the first break is planned in the fascinating surroundings of karstic landscape and crystal-clear sea. The tour continues towards Slana Bay, filled with spacious and stunning beaches. Flat rocks rising above the sea in this area create a striking visual experience. After passing through Slana Bay, the kayaks are left ashore as you start to prepare for the adrenaline-filled part of the activity, the via ferrata climbing. The excitement builds up as you are passing over the sea, feeling a connection with nature and with the power needed to master the challenge. Crossing the via ferrata allows a breathtaking view of the sea underneath. After the via ferrata climbing, the tour continues in kayaks towards Sušac beach, where another break for swimming is planned. The activity ends with the return in kayaks to Ručica beach. This combination of marine and stone elements creates an incredible synergy of nature and adventure, creating an unforgettable experience for every outdoor activity enthusiast.
Kayaks and equipment
Sit-on-top kayaks for two adults and an additional seat for children under the age of 12. Each kayak has a waterproof bag with a capacity of 20 litres (for a camera, documents, dry clothes, food and drinks) and a comfortable seat. Each participant is assigned a paddle, a swimming vest and a waterproof bag.
Via ferrata equipment includes: Via ferrata belt, helmet, gloves, carabiners, harness and self-belaying set.
Personal equipment
From personal equipment please bring water,sport shoes, sunscreen, cap/hat, swimsuit, a dry towel, extra pair of socks and dry clothes. If you wear glasses, tie them with a string or something similar.
