About activity
The tour starts from Ručica, a well-known beach which has served as inspirational scenery for many movie, music and fashion shoots. Following the guide’s introductory instructions, the participants will be given the necessary equipment. Kayaking will start towards the sandy cape Sušac. Passing under amazing rocks of Stogaj and Teplice, along the spacious and long sandy beaches strung like pearls, paddling becomes a real pleasure. The first break for swimming is planned on the beach of Sušac. Kayaking continues towards the opposite side of the Pag Bay, surrounded by the spectacular karst landscape and the crystal blue sea. Paddling along the islets of Veli Maškalić and Mali Maškalić, and bypassing the rocky hill of Mali Zaton Beach, the pebble beach of Veli Zaton is reached, where is planned the second break for swimming. The beach offers a spectacular view of Velebit Mountain and the Pag Gate, the passage which connects Pag Bay and the Velebit Channel. After the break, the tour continues to the opposite side of the bay to the Gače Cave, about a hundred meters long with an exit to the other side, and kayaking passes through one part of the cave. The route continues to Malin, a secluded pebble beach with a freshwater source in its proximity, and follows the stop for swimming. The last swimming is planned on the Beriknica Beach, known for the natural installation consisting of three unusual rock patterns in the sea, making this beach a recognizable symbol of the island of Pag. After a break, the tour ends by kayaking back to Ručica Beach. The route is subject to change due to the weather conditions and the physical fitness of the group.
